The Turkish Peace Forces in Cyprus (TPFC) announced on Thursday that all necessary measures have been taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
A statement issued by the Turkish Peace Forces Command said that a centre had been set up at the General Headquarters to coordinate the measures.
Military medics and army doctors have been assigned to the centre.
It also said that all day passes and leave of military personnel had been cancelled.
The command said that families of military personnel had been informed and briefed on the movement ban and measures in place.
It added that military personnel and troops serving in Cyprus were undergoing routine health checks and thermal screening with newly arrived personnel directed to quarantine centres.
All public transportation and vehicles used by the military are also being disinfected.
