Deputy Prime Minister Foreign Minister Kudret Özersay issued a statement via his social media website.
He said that politics in the country could be criticized and that there was nothing more natural than this and added that the President, Prime Minister and Ministers can also be criticized for things that they have done or haven’t done.
“There is no need to play the victim or act hurt,” said Özersay and added that no one had the right to insult representatives that have been chosen by the Turkish Cypriot people.
“No one has the right to damage these positions or the state” Özersay added.
He said that unfortunately the policies followed and the wording used has damaged the reputation of the Turkish Cypriot people in Turkey and strained the relations of the TRNC and Turkey.
