The 4 day Kurban Bayram holiday or Eid-al-ahda will begin on Sunday the 11th of August.
President Mustafa Akıncı and first lady Meral Akıncı will receive well wishers are the Presidential palace between 10am and 11am.
The National Unity Party will receive well wishers at 10am at their Lefkoşa Köşklüçiftlik headquarters.
Public offices and departments will all be closed during the 4 day bayram holiday and they will resume work on Thursday the 15th of August.
Police has taken all the necessary measures to ensure the public enjoys a safe and secure bayram holiday.
Meanwhile the state prison will be open for public visits during the 4 day holiday.
Bayrak Radio Television’s news desk will be closed during the bayram holiday.
