Noting that the flag being stolen had led to many reactions from a majority of Turkish Cypriots Prime Minister Ersin Tatar said “we always support an agreement and peace being found in Cyprus but we will never accept anyone disrespecting our flag of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus values”.
Reiterating that the flag is a symbol of independence and peace Prime Minister Tatar said that they would never allow anyone to touch the flag again and said that he wanted to give a clear message on this issue.
