President Mustafa Akıncı will meet with the Greek Cypriot leader Nicos Anastasiades on the 26th of February.
According to a statement released by the TRNC Presidency, the two leaders will come together at an unofficial meeting to be held at the residence of the UN Secretary General’s Special Representative in Cyprus Elizabeth Spehar at 10:30 am.
Meanwhile, President Akıncı will separately brief the government and the parliament on the course of the Cyprus problem.
The President will first brief the Council of Ministers tomorrow at 2pm and will then brief the General Assembly of the Parliament within the next week.
Akıncı during his routine weekly meeting with Prime Minister Tufan Erhürman last week had expressed his desire to brief the government and then had presented his written demand to Prime Minister Erhürman for the Council of Ministers to be called for a meeting on Tuesday, the 12th of February.
